UKAS Audit Confirms Retention of ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Status

Winchester, UK, 22nd March 2021.

Sigma-HSE retains ISO/IEC 17025 status

Sigma-HSE can announce that after a recent successful visit by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to our Winchester based laboratory, Sigma-HSE UK has retained its ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory status.

The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) states that the ISO/IEC 17025 certification ‘enables laboratories to demonstrate that they operate competently and generate valid results, thereby promoting confidence in their work both nationally and around the world.’

Following continued business growth in the UK over the past year, the retained ISO/IEC 17025 certification will enable Sigma-HSE UK to continue offering high-quality process safety solutions at a cost-effective price.

Dr Sampuran Singh, Sigma-HSE CEO comments: “We are delighted to have retained our ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory status from UKAS. We are accelerating the growth of the Sigma group this year, so to have retained our laboratory status allows us to build on our cost-effective process safety solutions with absolute confidence. We believe that our depth of experience in offering renowned process safety testing solutions makes us the perfect partner for businesses both in the UK and globally.”

Sigma-HSE offers a solution to the cost and time inefficiencies of traditional process safety testing. We are the only independent testing laboratory in the UK that can offer tests to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, so you can make faster and more informed process safety decisions using our high-quality data.
