Senior Process Safety Consultant

Location:  Londonderry, NH (Remote or hybrid option available for right candidate)

We are actively hiring for a senior process safety engineer to join our U.S. team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in chemical engineering or related field and 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing or process safety, with an ability to identify and understand process hazards and risks.

Our team of highly qualified engineers and technical consultants help companies protect their people, workplace, environment, and business. We provide various process safety testing services, skilled technical consulting, and process safety training.

Our U.S. location is looking for a process safety engineer or scientist to provide expert level consulting advice. The successful candidate will undertake consulting work primarily in the USA (although world-wide consulting opportunities may occur) and deliver practical and cost-effective solutions to technical safety challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead process hazard analyses, including risk assessments, DHA, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, etc.
  • Understand and apply process safety management concepts
  • Understand, interpret, and explain combustible dust test data
  • Understand, interpret, and explain chemical reactivity test results
  • Develop programs (policies and procedures, management of change, permit to work, asset integrity management, functional safety, auditing, etc.)
  • Train on dust safety, chemical reactivity, and process safety
  • Other job duties as the role evolves

 

For consulting purposes, the successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or industrial chemistry
  • 5-10 years in manufacturing or process safety
  • Necessary relevant expertise in chemical and/or dust manufacturing
  • Project management skills to communicate with clients to define, carry-out, report, follow up, and audit safety projects
  • Skills to establish and meet critical client deadlines
  • Capable and effective communication and advocation for process safety
  • Good understanding of regulatory, codes, standards, and RAGAGEP for process safety compliance
  • Experience in business development/account management

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or industrial chemistry
  • Authorized to live and work in the USA
  • Consent to background check
  • Ability to travel domestically, with some international potential
  • Ability to commute to North Andover, MA office location; however, the option of a remote or hybrid role can be discussed

 

Previous Experience:

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in the following areas; however, this would not limit the consideration of any applicant:

  • Held customer-facing roles with responsibilities for both commercial and operational business aspects
  • Have experience in a leadership role running a team of similar professional engineer colleagues
  • Proven track record of delivering work on time and to a high standard that exceeds clients’ expectations

Sales and Business Development Manager

Experience: Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical sales position in the process safety industry.

Our team of highly qualified engineers and technical consultants help companies protect their people, workplace, environment, and business by providing various process safety testing services, skilled technical consulting, and process safety training.

Our U.S. location is looking for an individual who will identify and pursue new business opportunities that will drive the company’s growth and brand recognition. This role provides a platform to develop skills, gain new experiences, and grow professionally within the company. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Business Administration, with a minimum 5 years’ experience in the process safety industry and a proven sales and leadership track record.

Primary Role: Sales & Business Development

• Develop and implement a growth strategy that prioritizes growth and positive customer ratings
• Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions that identify new markets and customer needs
• Promote the company’s services by addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Follow up with inbound marketing inquiries and arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Prepare sales quotes/proposals ensuring adherence to industry and company guidelines
• Attend industry trade shows as applicable
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a process safety disciplines, such as chemical, industrial, or related engineering
• Strong leadership and sales track record
• Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
• Project management skills are a plus
• Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and CRM & website visitor tracking software (HubSpot, Lead feeder, etc.)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in English both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proactive manner in all aspects of sales development
• Valid U.S. driver’s license is required
• Authorized to live and work in the U.S.
