Emmanuel Kwasi Addai Ph.D., MBA, CCPSC, CSP, CFEI is a Senior Process Safety Specialist with a decade of combined experience in process safety engineering/consulting, manufacturing, research, and environmental engineering. Dr. Addai has performed over 200 fire and explosion hazard and risk assessments, PHA’s, PSM audits, and incident investigations for various process industries in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Pakistan.
Dr. Addai is well versed in the requirements of regulatory codes and standards, including all applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) publications, EPA-RMP, FM Global, and OSHA 1910. Dr. Addai has also developed and presented training courses on controlling the risk of Combustible Dust Hazards and has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Throughout his career, Dr, Addai has developed advanced capabilities in a range of areas, including gas/vapor and dust fire and explosion prevention and protection; Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), accident investigation, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), Hazardous Area (Electrical) Classification, vent size calculation, overpressure protection systems, hazardous ventilation requirements and design, etc.
