Our company is looking for an experienced process safety engineer to provide expert process safety advice to clients on understanding, reducing and/or mitigating the risks of fires and explosions in the process industry. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake consulting work world-wide and deliver practical and cost-effective solutions to technical safety challenges. The desire to be involved in client development would be particularly advantageous.
Experience and understanding of hazards and risks (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, DSEAR, etc.) is essential and managing risks (Procedures and policies, management of change, permit to work, asset integrity management, functional safety, auditing etc) would be desirable.
The successful candidate will proactively work with clients on the end-to-end process of identifying, scoping, reporting, follow-up, and auditing of safety projects. Establishing and meeting critical client deadlines and be a capable, and effective communicator and advocate of process safety. The applicant should have a good understanding of regulatory and legislation compliance for safety in the process industries and be aware of changes and updates emanating from national government and the EU. They will be expected to become the primary process safety contact for their clients and partner with them to provide expert advice and guidance on process safety.

As a global and fast expanding business, our company is looking for an experienced Process Safety Chemist to work in our Chemical Reaction Hazards Laboratory. The successful candidate will undertake chemical processing and testing using thermal screen and colorimetry equipment to provide safety and scale-up data on chemical reactions. They will be expected to lead in developing this service for our international client base focusing on solutions for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and other manufacturing industries.
The successful candidate will already have commercial laboratory experience using Carius, DSC, ARC, ARSST, RC1 and VSP2 equipment for providing scale-up and reaction data. They should be confident in discussing with clients their process issues and identifying their testing need when taking chemical processes through to pilot plant level and full production reactor work. They will be expected to liaise with clients on the end-to-end process of identifying, scoping, reporting, and follow-up of safety projects. Agreeing and delivering within critical client deadlines and be a capable, and effective advocate of process safety. They will be expected to become the primary laboratory contact for chemical reaction analysis and provide expert advice and guidance on process safety.
