Winchester, UK, 19th November 2021.

Sigma-HSE expands CRH laboratory

Sigma-HSE can announce that it has recently expanded its Chemical Reaction Hazards (CRH) testing laboratory in Winchester, UK.

This expansion will allow Sigma-HSE to offer greater Chemical Reaction Hazards testing capabilities to its clientele at a cost-effective price. The new testing laboratory will also enable Sigma-HSE to aid businesses both in the UK and globally to better identify potentially hazardous chemical reactions, provide guidance on ensuring safe operations via in-depth testing data and ultimately prevent potential near misses and catastrophes via actionable Chemical Reaction Hazards testing data insights.

With a range of process safety testing solutions already established in the UK and India the new laboratory expansion will allow Sigma-HSE to deliver a widened range of Chemical Reaction Hazard testing data in 7-10 working days.

“I am excited that we have expanded our Chemical Reaction Hazard testing capabilities. We are now able to undertake more in-depth calorimetric studies and provide our customers, especially those who work in the chemical industry, with the reaction data they require. The expansion of our Chemical Reaction Hazards laboratory reaffirms our commitment to providing global process safety solutions and becoming the process safety partner of choice.” – Sam Ayres, Business Development Manager, Sigma-HSE

Sigma-HSE’s laboratory expansion allows for the following screening and calorimetry tests to be undertaken: Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Advanced Reactive System Screening Tool (ARSST), Accelerating Rate Calorimetry (ARC), Carius Tube, Reaction Calorimetry, Adiabatic Calorimetry (VSP2) and Heat Flow Calorimetry.
